PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucretia Reflection (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reflection comes to the cage accompanied by Lucretia, My Reflection. Castle is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In Time. Frank Castle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lucretia Reflection!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reflection slips under a jab.
Castle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Reflection defending well as Castle loads up on a big left hand.
Castle tries a head kick but it misses.
Castle tries to close the distance and clinch but Reflection swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A swing and a miss from Castle.
Reflection throws a shot from downtown. Castle moves away and avoids it.
Castle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Castle fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Reflection to the ground. Castle is now in Reflection's guard.

Reflection kicks Castle off and gets to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danga de danga de dang - Reflection scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Frank Castle has been cut.
Castle lands a leg kick that knocks Reflection off balance momentarily.
Reflection throws a hook but Castle blocks it.
Reflection moves away from the strike by Castle.
Castle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Castle avoids the head kick by Reflection.
Castle dodges the punch combination from Reflection.
Reflection on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


It looks like Lucretia Reflection has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reflection tries to land a front kick but Castle steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Castle lands with an overhand left.
Castle throws a head kick but Reflection moves out of range.

Castle forces Reflection back against the cage and clinches.

Reflection pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reflection throws a jab when Castle was well out of range.
Castle moves out of range of the body kick.
A head kick misses from Castle.
Castle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Good standup being displayed there by Castle as he connects with a hook.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Castle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Reflection throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Castle bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Castle taking a breather here.
Reflection is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Castle asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Castle grinds an elbow into Reflection's temple.
Reflection wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Castle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reflection keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reflection is trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castle tries to move to mount but Reflection blocks the move with his legs.
Reflection is trying to buck Castle off.
Castle is looking to take a break and control but Reflection is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reflection is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Castle is trying to get an arm triangle but Reflection is defending well.
Reflection is trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Castle dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Castle connects with an inside leg kick.
Reflection swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Castle throws a head kick that misses
and Reflection counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Castle drops Reflection with a big left hand and mounts him. Reflection is in big trouble!


Reflection is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reflection is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Oh Reflection is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reflection has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Castle is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Frank Castle has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reflection looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Castle slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Reflection seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Reflection is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Castle just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Castle patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Reflection holding both Castle 's hands and preventing any damage.

Reflection won't enjoy being in this position. Castle looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Reflection is tapping - it's over boys! Castle picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Frank Castle!
Frank Castle was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
