Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kapitan Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Cena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. John Cena has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kapitan Boom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Cena! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Cena misses its intended target. Boom misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Boom is breathing heavily. Cena with a lazy takedown attempt and Boom counters with a three punch combo that has Cena backing up. Cena nods at Boom to acknowledge the strikes. Cena misses with a takedown and Boom counters with an inside leg kick. Cena thows a left - swing and a miss! Boom avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A slow jab from Cena misses its intended target. Cena misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boom keeps the fight on the outside. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boom. A punch combination from Cena misses. Cena will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kapitan Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Cena. Boom slaps away a takedown attempt from Cena, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom doesn't manage to clinch there - Cena circles away.
Cena avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cena is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Boom forces Cena back against the cage and clinches. Cena pulls guard successfully.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cena is on top in guard.
Cena looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cena throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boom works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cena trying to control but Boom is working from the bottom. Cena postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Boom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cena on the ground. Cena loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cena drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Boom manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cena has Boom in his guard. Cena looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boom is one step ahead there. Boom throwing strikes from guard but Cena blocks nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cena bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Boom's guard. Cena passes easily into side control. Nice work. Cena is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Boom will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Cena creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Boom sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cena is looking to take a break and control but Boom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cena looks up at the clock and then as Boom takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Cena smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cena trying to control the position but Boom is working away. An elbow from Cena crashes against the mat.
Cena wants to control but Boom is keeping him busy. Boom tries to buck Cena off but Cena is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boom is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cena stands up and beckons Boom to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Cena dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cena shoots for a takedown but Boom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cena will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cena clinches up with Boom and pushes him back against the cage. Cena ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cena no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Boom wants to control from the top but Cena keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cena holds on and takes a little breather. Cena wriggles free and stands up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Boom tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cena tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boom swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boom leaves Cena with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kapitan Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Cena. Boom scores with a takedown into Cena's guard. Cena controls Boom momentarily but Boom frees himself. Cena looking for a sweep. Not yet Cena, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cena working for a triangle but Boom defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cena thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Cena throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Cena is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cena throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cena is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cena is trying to keep Boom in close.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Cena trying to control the position here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Cena. Cena ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boom moves away. Cena pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cena fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boom avoids it really well and circles away. Kapitan Boom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fight stays on the outside here - Boom looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cena shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Boom manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. John Cena has got the better of the ground game so far. Boom tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cena throws a big right hand that misses. Cena postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cena trying to control but Boom is working from the bottom. Boom trying to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Cena showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Cena takes the fight into the clinch. Cena tries to work over Boom's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Boom wants a takedown.
Boom looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cena manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Boom is fighting to break Cena's control of his arms but Cena is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Cena has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cena is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cena uses the cage to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cena fails to land with a series of punches.
Cena throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cena pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Boom leaves Cena with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Cena moves into the clinch successfully.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cena takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Cena wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cena's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cena drives through with a takedown into guard. Boom wants to control the position but Cena says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Cena throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Cena stands up and beckons Boom to join him on the feet. Cena gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Boom to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cena is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boom pushing down on Cena's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Cena is staying active underneath Boom, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Cena kicks off Boom and gets to his feet. Boom stuffs the takedown attempt from Cena. Cena gets slowly back to his feet. Boom wants to clinch and Cena counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Boom trying to hold on to Cena's head to control him but Cena postures up.
Boom is staying active underneath Cena, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Boom is not content to let Cena control the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
John Cena has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cena is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boom sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kapitan Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Cena. Boom gets a clinch. Cena is trying to force a seperation but Boom has the dominant position. John Cena is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cena goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Cena has Boom pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boom manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kapitan Boom has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cena tries to break free but Boom pushes him back against the cage.
And that's the end of the fight! John Cena comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cena has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
