Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thor Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svensson comes to the cage accompanied by Gods of Thunder, Of Wind and of Rain. Jordan has chosen Gangnam Style as his entrance music. Michael Jordan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thor Svensson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Jordan! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jordan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Svensson. Svensson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Svensson tries to clinch up and Jordan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jordan scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Jordan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Svensson is defended easily by Jordan. Svensson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jordan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Svensson's guard. Svensson is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jordan controls the pace of the fight for a moment. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jordan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jordan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Nice sprawl there from Svensson as Jordan shoots in. Jordan misses with a takedown attempt - Svensson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Svensson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Svensson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Jordan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Svensson. Svensson drops an elbow to the side of Jordan's head. Svensson is pressing down on Jordan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jordan is holding on for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jordan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Svensson. Jordan is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Svensson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Svensson working away. Svensson decides to stand back up. Svensson steps back and let's Jordan get back to his feet. Thor Svensson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Svensson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A good leg kick by Svensson. Jordan keeps the fight on the outside. Svensson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jordan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Svensson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Svensson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Svensson wants to control the pace but Jordan is squirming around nicely. Svensson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jordan because Svensson loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thor Svensson will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jordan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jordan decides to stand back up. Jordan steps back and let's Svensson get back to his feet. Jordan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Svensson misses with a low kick as Jordan jumps back. Jordan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Svensson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Svensson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jordan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jordan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Svensson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jordan keeping moving, preventing Svensson from controlling successfully. Svensson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jordan is keeping the position for now. Svensson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jordan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jordan has escaped and now he's on top! Jordan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael Jordan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Svensson shoots in and drives through. Jordan sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thor Svensson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Svensson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jordan is able to avoid easily. Jordan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jordan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Svensson defends it nicely. Jordan scores with a takedown into Svensson's guard.

Thor Svensson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Jordan. Svensson is looking to take a break and control but Jordan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Svensson is stalling here. Jordan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Svensson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jordan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Jordan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jordan leaves Svensson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jordan closes the distance and clinches.
