Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jung Sung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eiji Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eiji Tate has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jung Sung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eiji Tate!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sung throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tate has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Sung.
A punch combination from Tate misses.
A combination from Tate does no damage.

Sung has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sung tries for a takedown. No joy.

Sung tightens his grip and picks Tate up, before dumping him to the ground. Tate manages to land in guard.
Sung missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sung has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tate wants to stand and escape but Sung is having none of it.
Tate wants to sweep here but Sung controlling him for the moment.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tate can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tate utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sung seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sung displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tate throws out the jab.

Tate connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sung. Sung circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good leg kick by Sung there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tate throws a right and a left that Sung avoids nicely.

Sung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jung Sung has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sung's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tate connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sung scrambles back to his feet.

Tate throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sung counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Sung keeps Tate at a distance using the push kick.

Sung will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sung throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tate.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tate tries to bum rush Sung with a series of wild strikes but Sung uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Jung Sung will probably get the nod.

Eiji Tate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sung has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sung has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tate avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jung Sung is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tate moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Eiji Tate.
