0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Yoo! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoo closes the distance and clinches. Yoo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Yoo wants to break free but Deevino has control.
Yoo tries to pull guard but Deevino won't allow it.
Yoo is trying to pull guard but Deevino has him pressed against the cage. Deevino breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yoo tries to clinch there but Deevino circles away.
Yoo gets tackled into the cage by Deevino. Deevino maintains the clinch. Yoo jumps guard but Deevino stands there with Yoo around his waist. Yoo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dakelo Deevino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Yoo. Deevino tries to break the clinch but Yoo is controlling the position. Yoo is looking for a takedown. Yoo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Deevino fails with a takedown attempt. Deevino shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yoo as he avoids it easily. Yoo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. That's two minutes gone in the round. Yoo throws a strike but Deevino rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yoo is working an open guard so Deevino takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Yoo looks gassed! Yoo wants to clinch up but Deevino keeps it at a distance. Yoo tries to clinch there but Deevino circles away.
Yoo with a poor takedown and Deevino counters with a body kick. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Yoo has eaten all the pies! Deevino throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Deevino throws a right hand that Yoo ducks under and follows up with a left that Yoo also avoids with ease. Yoo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Deevino feints and as Yoo raises his hands in defense, Deevino changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Deevino works over Yoo with some ground and pound from guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deevino stands and steps away. Yoo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Deevino has a takedown stuffed. Deevino throws a head kick that half lands.
Deevino throws a nice outside leg kick. Yoo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Deevino circles away. Deevino fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Yoo sprawls well initially but Deevino persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Deevino decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Deevino throws a nice looking combination but Yoo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Deevino wants to clinch up but Yoo keeps it at a distance. Deevino shoots and misses and Yoo counters with a takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deevino is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Yoo is controlling him well. Yoo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Deevino knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Yoo trying to control the position but Deevino is working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yoo shoots in for a takedown but Deevino shows good takedown defense. No luck with that takedown attempt from Deevino. Yoo has taken the fight to the clinch.

Yoo won't allow Deevino to get back to his feet. Yoo looking to pass the guard. Yoo trying to control the position from guard on top but Deevino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

John Yoo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Yoo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Yoo. Dakelo Deevino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Yoo. Yoo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Deevino fails with a takedown attempt. Deevino connects with a high kick.

Deevino tries to close the distance and clinch but Yoo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Deevino shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Yoo counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dakelo Deevino is winning the standup battle so far. Yoo explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Deevino here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Deevino fails with a takedown attempt. Yoo closes the distance and clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yoo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Deevino avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yoo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Yoo in side control, throwing shots but Deevino defends. John Yoo has got the better of the ground game so far. Deevino pushes Yoo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yoo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Yoo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Deevino keeps working. Yoo controlling the position. Yoo trying to control the action but Deevino is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Yoo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Deevino is letting Yoo control him for a moment. Yoo decides to stand back up. Dakelo Deevino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Deevino's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Deevino duly obliges. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Yoo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Deevino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Yoo shoots in and bounces Deevino off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Deevino keeping moving, preventing Yoo from controlling successfully. Deevino wants to stand up but Yoo is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Yoo. Deevino checks a leg kick. Yoo shoots in but Deevino avoids the takedown attempt easily. Deevino fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yoo, pushing him back against the cage. Deevino breaks the clinch.

Deevino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yoo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Deevino throws a front kick that sends Yoo stumbling back into the cage. Yoo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Deevino manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Deevino's corner calls for a 1-2. Deevino obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Yoo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Deevino swivels and escapes. Deevino shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Yoo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Deevino escapes and gets back to his feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yoo throws a series of punches but Deevino moves out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dakelo Deevino. I think Deevino has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
