Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Essien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Urias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miguel Urias will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Essien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miguel Urias! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urias bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Urias scores with a couple of short elbows. Essien takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Essien stops Urias from passing to mount. Essien tries to bench press Urias off him but Urias keeps the position. Urias in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Urias cracks Essien with a big right hand but Essien just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Essien is rocked! Urias working away. Oh Essien is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Essien sneaks back into half guard. Urias is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nice strikes from Urias there. Essien knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Urias on the ground. Urias is trying to work for a kimura but Essien is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Urias lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Essien quite badly. Essien pulls Urias in close trying to recover. Urias postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Essien on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Essien doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miguel Urias!
