Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcin Najman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jiri Pazler! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pazler throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Najman was covering up waiting for the punch and Pazler finishes the takedown easily into guard. Najman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pazler is pushing down on Najman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Najman is fighting to maintain full guard but Pazler has managed to sneak the leg through. Pazler trying to mount his opponent but Najman defends it. Pazler is looking for a kimura but Najman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pazler to get the leverage. Pazler is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Pazler not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pazler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Najman wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pazler postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Najman to stand up. Pazler closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Najman quickly recovers to half guard. Pazler landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Pazler stops Najman from getting back to his feet.
Pazler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Najman has managed to free his arm - good work. Pazler stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pazler moves nicely into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pazler stands up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good exchange - Najman coming out on top. Najman throws a leg kick that is checked and Pazler counters with a straight right hand. Pazler takes the fight into the clinch. Pazler manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Najman misses with a left hand and Pazler counters with a shoot takedown. Najman fights it but they end up in guard. Najman keeping moving, preventing Pazler from controlling successfully. Najman wants to get back to his feet but Pazler is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pazler stands up from Najman's guard - Pazler perhaps looking for a knockout. Pazler moves out of range of the strikes. Pazler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Najman to the mat! Najman manages to get full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pazler pushes down on Najman's leg and manages to get into half guard. Pazler not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pazler controlling the action here. It looks like Pazler might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pazler passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Najman! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jiri Pazler dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A combination from Najman does no damage. Pazler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Najman. Pazler closes the distance and pushes Najman back into the cage. Pazler ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pazler no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Pazler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Najman manages to get himself to full guard.
Jiri Pazler has got the better of the ground game so far. Pazler trying to control but Najman is working from the bottom. Najman is wriggling around but Pazler manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pazler sitting and controlling from the half guard. Najman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pazler. Pazler slows the pace down in half guard. Najman wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jiri Pazler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Pazler darts in and clinches Najman up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pazler lands a right hand that snaps the head of Najman backwards. Najman wants to get back to striking at distance but Pazler won't allow it.
Najman is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pazler breaks the clinch.
Najman misses with a straight left. Both fighters circling a little - Pazler finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Pazler is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Najman's half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! Najman is trying to escape back to his feet but Pazler uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Pazler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Najman's shoulder. That is not cool. Pazler tries to score with some ground and pound. Najman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Najman tries to escape but Pazler is in control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pazler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Najman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pazler is looking for a kimura. That's four minutes gone in the round. Najman parries the strikes from Pazler easily there. Pazler is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Najman to escape.
Pazler wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Najman, who protects the arm well. A lull in the action here as Pazler stalls from top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pazler has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jiri Pazler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

No joy there for Najman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Pazler moves into range and clinches up with Najman. Pazler keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Najman's efforts to push away. Pazler has clasped his hands together around Najman's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Najman is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Pazler is controlling him well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pazler working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Pazler in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pazler stands up. Najman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pazler moves into the clinch successfully.
Pazler has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Najman tries to circle away but Pazler has him pinned against the cage. Pazler keeps control of Najman as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Pazler gets control of Najman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pazler will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pazler has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Najman has passed into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pazler tries to buck Najman off but Najman is having none of it. Pazler wants to control but Najman postures up. Najman wants to stand but Pazler is controlling his arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Pazler manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Pazler keeps control of the position for the meantime.
