PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dickey The Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Benoit's choice of entrance music: Spineshank - New Disease. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Fighter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Benoit's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Fighter gets to his feet. Benoit looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Benoit rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Fighter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The Fighter feints and as Benoit raises his hands in defense, The Fighter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Benoit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. The Fighter stacks Benoit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by The Fighter!

The Fighter has hold of Benoit's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Benoit seems comfortable defending it but The Fighter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Benoit is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Benoit is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but The Fighter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
