The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinch moves in looking to clinch but Gabonica pushes him off.
Hinch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gabonica's waist but Gabonica gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hinch off to one side.
Gabonica looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Gabonica throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gabonica throws out a loose jab but Hinch uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hinch walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Stevie Hinch has been cut.
Hinch shoots in but no luck this time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gabonica keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Hinch. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hinch looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hinch.
Bitis Gabonica seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hinch gets tackled into the cage by Gabonica. Gabonica maintains the clinch.
Gabonica breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gabonica scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Gabonica is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gabonica thows a huge punch but Hinch dodges it nicely.

Hinch is trying to maintain the position but Gabonica is very close to passing his half guard.
Gabonica wants to free his trapped foot but Hinch is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hinch is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gabonica pulls his head out easily.
Gabonica tries to pass to full mount but Hinch defends it.
Gabonica throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hinch has hold of Gabonica's hands but Gabonica slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gabonica with the ground and pound but Hinch uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Gabonica is posturing up here but Hinch has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Gabonica tries to roll out but it's too tight and Gabonica has to tap! Slick submission there by Hinch!
