PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jones Zica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guster Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zica comes to the cage accompanied by Master of Puppets by Metallica. Spencer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: A Country Boy Can Survive. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zica cracks Spencer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Spencer postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Spencer is looking to take a break and control but Zica is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Spencer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Zica sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Zica feints a jab promting Spencer to slip. Zica then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Spencer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Spencer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zica lands with an uppercut that bounces Spencer off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Guster Spencer has been cut.
Zica lands a glancing blow to the side of Spencer's head.
Spencer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zica sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spencer somewhat.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Spencer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Guster Spencer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Jones Zica spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
