Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Braden Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turk comes to the cage accompanied by Status Quo - Deeper and Down. Knox has chosen Something I Can Never Have as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Braden Turk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Knox!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turk digs a good body shot into Knox's ribs.
Turk throws a body punch but Knox moves out of range.
Knox misses with a takedown
and Knox takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Knox just misses with a punch to the body.
Turk tries to clinch but Knox moves out of range.
Turk avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Knox scores with a jab to the jaw.
Knox walks into a straight right hand from Turk.
Knox thows a left - swing and a miss!
Knox lands a nice looking body shot.
Turk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Knox moves away.
Nice defenses there by Turk.
Turk blocks a jab.
Turk avoids a punch combination nicely.
Turk clinches up with Knox and pushes him back against the cage.
Turk working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Turk lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knox swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Turk crunches a lovely knee into Knox's ribcage.
A head punch on the inside from Knox fails to land.
Knox misses with the head strike.
Knox tightens his grip and picks Turk up, before dumping him to the ground. Turk manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Knox has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Turk to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Knox is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Turk pulls down on the head and he's put Knox to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Braden Turk!
