Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dok Mookjai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mookjai might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to MMA Thailand 2010 Song - NAKSU. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dok Mookjai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Jackson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mookjai moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off.
Mookjai tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mookjai's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Jackson postures up.

Mookjai is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.

Mookjai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jackson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jackson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mookjai looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mookjai looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mookjai!
Jackson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Jackson dodges the ground and pound from Mookjai.
Jackson manages to get back to half guard.

Jackson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mookjai pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is staying active underneath Mookjai, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mookjai is looking for a kimura here.
Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mookjai is working away from the top position though.

Mookjai stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jackson to get to his feet.

Mookjai instigates a clinch.
Mookjai tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jackson avoids it.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Mookjai is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jackson is defending well for now.

Jackson has had enough of the clinch but Mookjai keeps him there for the moment.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Mookjai throws a knee to the head but misses.
Mookjai displaying some good clinch control by pressing Jackson up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson scores with a shoulder strike.
Jackson tries to work over Mookjai's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Mookjai keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jackson's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dok Mookjai will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mookjai!
Mookjai is working to get back to half guard.

Jackson has hold of Mookjai's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mookjai manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Jackson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mookjai has worked his arm free - good work by Mookjai!

Jackson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Mookjai looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jackson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Mookjai is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jackson lets go of the hold and Mookjai can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ben Jackson!
Ben Jackson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
