The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lister throws out a loose jab but Hardy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hardy drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lister is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lister will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Damn Hardy.
Well Hardy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
