The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Jackson both land. Nice combination.
Drake wants to clinch
and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.
Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Drake tries to work over Jackson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Drake tries to land knees in the clinch but Jackson avoids the damage to the body.

Jackson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Drakes head.

Jackson is trying to drag Drake to the mat but Drake just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Drake swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jackson thows a body kick. Drake tries to catch it but that hurt him.

and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drake is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Drake is trying to pull guard but Jackson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Drake is trying to maintain a safe position but Jackson gets an underhook and turns Drake into the cage.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Drake wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.
Drake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jackson is tightening it up a little... Drake has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Drake reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Drake taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jackson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ben Jackson!
Ben Jackson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
