Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Camber Cartwright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quick Twist!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartwright stuffs the takedown.

Twist is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cartwright is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Twist to the mat. Twist regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Quick Twist wasn't active enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cartwright looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cartwright tries to kick Twist off but Twist keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Cartwright is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Twist pulls his head out easily.

Twist shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cartwright pinned against the cage. Cartwright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cartwright drops back, looking for a kneebar! Twist looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Twist looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Twist!

Cartwright is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Twist asserts his dominance and retains side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cartwright pushes Twist away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Twist gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
