Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blake Bernard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Symon Angelus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake Bernard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blake Bernard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Symon Angelus!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernard fails with the takedown
and Angelus counters with a nice body shot.

Angelus looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Angelus wants to work for an arm triangle but Bernard is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Angelus working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Angelus has hold of Bernard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bernard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bernard defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Angelus.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bernard is trying desperately to improve position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Angelus can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bernard is looking to escape.
Bernard slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Symon Angelus dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Bernard gets caught napping as Angelus dives in and scores a takedown. Bernard manages to retain guard.
Angelus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bernard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Angelus is aware though and is defending well.

Bernard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Angelus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bernard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Angelus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Some bone on bone action there as Bernard checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bernard fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bernard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bernard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bernard has isolated one of Angelus's arms. Angelus looking to fight him off but Bernard twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
