Assange has chosen Date Rape as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Julian Assange has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Lochte or perhaps it was just good defense by Assange which made him look bad.
Lochte tries for a takedown but Assange sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lochte dives in and grabs Assange's left leg, looking for a takedown. Assange pushes down on Lochte's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Lochte. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Assange counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lochte thinking.

Lochte is looking to take a break and control but Assange is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lochte is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Assange is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Lochte wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Julian Assange is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lochte shoots for a double leg takedown but Assange sprawls well. He's pushed Lochte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Assange counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Assange changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Assange stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Assange throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Assange looks for the body kick but Lochte saw that one coming.
Assange throws a shot from downtown. Lochte moves away and avoids it.

Assange throws a low kick, looking for Lochte's leg but Lochte calmly moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lochte uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Assange.
Assange misses with a low kick as Lochte jumps back.
Assange stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Assange wants it to stay on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lochte.

Assange digs a good body shot into Lochte's ribs.
An inside leg kick lands from Assange.
Assange lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Assange misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Assange leaves Lochte with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Assange throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Assange lands with a nice body punch.
Assange swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lochte misses with a takedown attempt
and Assange counters with a stiff right hand.
Oh Lochte is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circling a little - Assange finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Assange lands a leg kick that knocks Lochte off balance momentarily.
Assange walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lochte drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Assange swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lochte's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
