Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karl De Groot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pile Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Driver has chosen my way as his entrance music. Pile Driver told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Groot swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Driver.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from De Groot.
De Groot throws a leg kick which misses Driver's front leg but catches the back leg as Driver tries to avoid it.
De Groot thuds a left hand into Driver's body.
A looping hook to the body misses from De Groot. Driver does a little dance to reset his feet.

Karl De Groot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Driver crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from De Groot - the referee stops the clock and Driver gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says De Groot. Driver manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for De Groot, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
