Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mitchell Pearsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Crack Corn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crack Corn has chosen Jimmy cracks heads and he dont care as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mitchell Pearsen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Crack Corn! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crack Corn staying out of range there. Pearsen misses with a straight right. Pearsen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Crack Corn counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Crack Corn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pearsen's head. Crack Corn is thwarting Pearsen's attempts to control the position. Crack Corn winds up and cracks Pearsen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Crack Corn lands strikes from half guard. Crack Corn is keen to just control but Pearsen is a slippery customer. Pearsen wants to get back to his feet.
Crack Corn wants to advance to full mount but Pearsen doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pearsen is on top in guard.
Pearsen gets to his feet - Crack Corn follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearsen darts in and clinches Crack Corn up against the cage. Pearsen is pressed up against the cage. Crack Corn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pearsen down to the mat. Pearsen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Crack Corn looks for a takedown but Pearsen sprawls well. A shot to the body from Pearsen misses and Crack Corn counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pearsen manages to escape and get back to his feet! Pearsen misses with a wild body shot. Crack Corn ducks under a wild hook from Pearsen. No luck with that takedown attempt from Crack Corn. Mitchell Pearsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Crack Corn. Pearsen throws a big shot that misses. Pearsen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crack Corn. Crack Corn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pearsen avoids it really well and circles away. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pearsen misses with a left hand letting Crack Corn counter with a right hand. Crack Corn tries to keep at a distance but Pearsen has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pearsen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Pearsen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Crack Corn chips away with some ground and pound. Crack Corn won't allow Pearsen to sweep him here. Crack Corn tries to free his leg and advance position but Pearsen is retaining full guard. Crack Corn stopping the sweep attempt from Pearsen. Crack Corn throws an elbow that misses. Pearsen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crack Corn's guard. Nice move by Pearsen! Crack Corn looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pearsen has picked Crack Corn up and slammed him! Crack Corn can't keep hold of the triangle and Pearsen manages to pass to side control! Pearsen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crack Corn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crack Corn is not content to let Pearsen control the position. Pearsen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pearsen stands up and beckons Crack Corn to his feet. Crack Corn closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Pearsen drives through and clinches with Crack Corn against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Crack Corn tightens his grip and picks Pearsen up, before dumping him to the ground. Pearsen manages to land in guard. Pearsen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crack Corn's guard. Pearsen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crack Corn is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mitchell Pearsen will probably get the nod. That's time! Pearsen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Crack Corn slips under a jab from Pearsen. Pearsen misses with an uppercut. Crack Corn throws a hook but Pearsen blocks it. Crack Corn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pearsen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Crack Corn letting Pearsen take a breather here. Pearsen working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Pearsen scores with a shot to the side of Crack Corn's head. Crack Corn has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pearsen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Pearsen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pearsen is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Crack Corn's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Pearsen throws an off balance right hand
and Crack Corn counters with a shoot takedown. Pearsen fights it but they end up in guard. Pearsen trying to keep a closed guard but Crack Corn is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crack Corn stands and throws Pearsen's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crack Corn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearsen manages to get back to half guard. Crack Corn looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Crack Corn is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Crack Corn lands a nice short elbow. Pearsen is trying to control but can't.
Crack Corn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Crack Corn is looking to advance position but Pearsen won't allow it. Crack Corn misses with a head shot. Pearsen uses the momentum to regain guard. Pearsen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Crack Corn with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pearsen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crack Corn manages to get himself to full guard.

Pearsen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Crack Corn backwards. Crack Corn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pearsen blocks it with crossed arms. A nice right hand lands inside from Pearsen. Crack Corn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pearsen pulls him back up using the underhooks. Crack Corn takes a shot to the head. Crack Corn wants to take the fight to the mat but Pearsen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pearsen pulls guard. Crack Corn scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Pearsen wants to sweep here but Crack Corn controlling him for the moment. Crack Corn stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Pearsen throws up his legs and catches Crack Corn in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Crack Corn tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Pearsen! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Mitchell Pearsen! Mitchell Pearsen retains his lightweight title! Mitchell Pearsen seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
