Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Misual Lal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lal comes to the cage accompanied by Rocky Theme Song. The key to victory for Misual Lal has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem tries for a takedown but Lal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Overeem shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lal wants to clinch.
Overeem gets tackled into the cage by Lal. Lal maintains the clinch.
Overeem changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lal fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Misual Lal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Overeem.
Lal shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Overeem shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lal defends it nicely.

Lal works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Overeem fails with a takedown attempt.
Lal fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Overeem to the ground. Lal is now in Overeem's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lal wants to control from the top but Overeem keeps moving.
Lal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Overeem swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Overeem manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lal defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Overeem.
Lal is looking to improve his position but Overeem isn't that keen on the idea.
Overeem avoids the attempt from Lal to control.
Overeem with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Overeem jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lal manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Overeem on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Overeem working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Who's going to make the next move?
Lal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Overeem wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lal manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Overeem on his heels. He'll look to pass Overeem's guard now, I'm sure.

Misual Lal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Misual Lal.
Overeem feints and as Lal raises his hands in defense, Overeem changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Overeem is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Overeem is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
