Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vinnie Vincent! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christopher Binse! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vincent loads up on a big right hand but Binse slips the punch. Vincent gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Binse decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vincent's guard. Binse must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Binse is looking to work some ground and pound but Vincent has wrist control. Binse got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vincent has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Binse has managed to get both his arms back between Vincent's legs - danger averted. Binse connects with a couple of short punches. Vincent is trying to control the position but Binse postures up. Vincent is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Binse rolls with it to try and escape but Vincent cranks on the arm and Binse is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Vinnie Vincent! A relieved looking Vinnie Vincent thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
