Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gryphon Andersoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a sloppy head kick and Andersoon moves out of range easily.
Andersoon tries to close the distance and clinch but Stone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Andersoon thows a left - swing and a miss!
No joy there for Andersoon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stone finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Stone lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Andersoon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stone was well out of range. Poor timing from Andersoon.
A chopping leg kick lands by Stone.
Andersoon lands a nice shot to the body.
An inside leg kick lands from Stone.
Stone throws a push kick but Andersoon slaps the foot to one side.
Andersoon tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Stone. Those never looked like landing.
Andersoon misses with a double jab.
Andersoon throws out a loose jab but Stone uses good head movement to avoid it.
Andersoon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Andersoon misses with a looping left.

Andersoon gets caught flat footed, as Stone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Stone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stone scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Stone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Stone with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersoon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stone lands a couple of digs.
Stone throws a big elbow that misses.
Stone throwing strikes from guard but Andersoon blocks nicely.
Stone passes Andersoon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Andersoon keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Stone is working for a submission of some sort.
Andersoon trying to control from the bottom.

Stone throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Stone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Stone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Stone is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stone missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Stone drops an elbow to the side of Andersoon's head.
Andersoon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stone on the ground.
Stone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Andersoon's head.
Stone seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Andersoon is looking for a sweep. Stone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stone lands with a punch from half guard.
Andersoon is staying active underneath Stone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Andersoon is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stone scores with a couple of nice shots.
Andersoon is in trouble now - Stone has advanced to mount!
Stone is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Andersoon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stone scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Stone postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Andersoon bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Stone and the fight is over!
