Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Blaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaster comes into the arena with The Number of The Beast - Iron Maiden blaring out of the sound system. On his way into the cage it seems that Master Blaster has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Master Blaster seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Master Blaster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paulo Alvarez! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez misses with a takedown attempt - Blaster sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Alvarez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Blaster misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Blaster closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Alvarez quickly recovers to half guard. Blaster thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alvarez's head. Alvarez tries to roll over but Blaster keeps him under control. Blaster throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Alvarez tries to get to full guard but Blaster has control of the leg. Alvarez is staying active underneath Blaster, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Well, if Blaster is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Blaster thows a huge punch but Alvarez dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaster working over Alvarez with some ground and pound. Alvarez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alvarez has one foot on Blaster's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Alvarez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Blaster works his way to full guard. Good work. Alvarez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blaster has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alvarez has managed to get both his arms back between Blaster's legs - danger averted. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blaster keeping moving, preventing Alvarez from controlling successfully. Blaster looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alvarez is one step ahead there. Alvarez trying to control but Blaster is working from the bottom. Alvarez works over Blaster with some ground and pound from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blaster throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Blaster manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaster scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Alvarez?

The referee warns Alvarez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
It looks like Paulo Alvarez has been cut. Alvarez blocking the ground and pound. Blaster landing strikes, looking to finish! Alvarez working to try and regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Alvarez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Blaster is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alvarez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alvarez shrugs it off. Blaster unloads with some shots from mount but Alvarez bucks and avoids them well.

Blaster throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Blaster thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Alvarez holds on, trying desperately to control. Blaster is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alvarez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paulo Alvarez's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Master Blaster! A very excited looking Master Blaster made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
