Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tirso Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tirso Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay King! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Cruz misses. Cruz instigates a clinch. Cruz has had enough of the clinch but King keeps him there for the moment. Cruz is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now. King keeps control of Cruz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A short uppercut from Cruz. Cruz scores with a hook to the body. King is pressed up against the cage. Cruz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag King down to the mat. King avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cruz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! King gets tackled into the cage by Cruz. Cruz maintains the clinch. Cruz fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
King is working for takedown but Cruz is calmly controlling the position for now. Cruz is defending well against a takedown attempt. Cruz stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Cruz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tirso Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him. King gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and King manages to pass to side control. King is taking a breather. Cruz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Cruz trying to control from the bottom.
Cruz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. King is trying for a kimura here. Cruz looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! King wins by kimura!
