The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Cyprien Noe Cyr has been cut.

Farseer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cyr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

and Farseer counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Cyr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Farseer.
Cyr tries to close the distance and clinch but Farseer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
