The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elite cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs.
Gracie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Elite throws out the jab.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Elite pinned against the cage. Elite gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Elite gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracie has his foot on Elite's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Elite works his way back into a safe position though.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Elite is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Elite manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Elite's guard.

Elite wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Elite doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gracie is tightening it up a little... Elite has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Elite reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Elite taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gracie!
