Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Colton Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Jourgensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jourgensen's choice of entrance music: Sidewinder. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Colton Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Al Jourgensen!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jourgensen has a takedown stuffed.
Black stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Black wants it to stay on the feet.
Jourgensen avoids the body shot from Black.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jourgensen.
Black tries to buck Jourgensen off but Jourgensen is having none of it.
Black stuck in half guard on the bottom here.
Jourgensen is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Black will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Jourgensen gets to mount! Black was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Black is in all sorts of trouble here.
Black tries to hold on but Jourgensen pushes him away.

Jourgensen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jourgensen wants to control the pace but Black is squirming around nicely.
Black is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jourgensen goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Black is on top in guard.
Jourgensen is pulling down on Black's head to control his posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Black is defended easily by Jourgensen.
Black tries a head kick but it misses.
Black misses with a body kick.
Black looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jourgensen is fending him off so far but Black persists. Nope, Jourgensen circles away and we're back to standing.
Jourgensen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Black as he jumps to the side.
Colton Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Jourgensen.
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Jourgensen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Black has his foot on Jourgensen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jourgensen works his way back into a safe position though.
Jourgensen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Black keeping moving, preventing Jourgensen from controlling successfully.
Black controls Jourgensen momentarily but Jourgensen frees himself.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Al Jourgensen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Black has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Jourgensen has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A head kick misses from Black.
Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Black shoots in for a double leg but Jourgensen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jourgensen shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Black misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Black closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jourgensen is positioning himself well to prevent Black advancing to mount.
Black is looking to take a break and control but Jourgensen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Black is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jourgensen holds on and takes a little breather.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Black fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jourgensen blocks a head kick by Black.
Horrible takedown by Jourgensen or perhaps it was just good defense by Black which made him look bad.
Black stuffs the takedown.
Colton Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Jourgensen.

Jourgensen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Black sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jourgensen somewhat.
Black slaps away a takedown attempt from Jourgensen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jourgensen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jourgensen wants it to stay on the feet.

Jourgensen shoots in looking for a takedown. Black tries to sprawl out of it but Jourgensen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Black manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Black might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black wants to control but Jourgensen is keeping him busy.
Jourgensen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jourgensen sneaks back into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Black wants to take a breather but Jourgensen is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Jourgensen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jourgensen wants to control but Black is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Black's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jourgensen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Black is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jourgensen wants to finish this one by submission but Black is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jourgensen.
Al Jourgensen has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jourgensen fails to advance to Black's back.
Black bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Black got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jourgensen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Black has managed to get both his arms back between Jourgensen's legs - danger averted.
Black wants to control from the top but Jourgensen keeps moving.
Jourgensen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Black has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jourgensen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Black is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jourgensen pulls down on the head and he's put Black to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Al Jourgensen!
As Al Jourgensen got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Nothing exceeds like excess'.
