Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teitur Gunnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teitur Gunnarsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamal Paul! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunnarsson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Paul is out of range and Gunnarsson settles back down. Gunnarsson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Gunnarsson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gunnarsson misses with a looping left. Nice takedown defense from Gunnarsson. No joy for Paul on that attempt. Paul shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gunnarsson pinned against the cage. Gunnarsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Paul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gunnarsson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Paul trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunnarsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Paul engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jamal Paul was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gunnarsson slaps away a takedown attempt from Paul, before circling back to the center of the mat. Teitur Gunnarsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Paul. Gunnarsson gets off balance looking for a body kick and Paul counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gunnarsson won't be happy with that. You can see the frustration on Gunnarsson's face as Paul controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Paul creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gunnarsson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Paul works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Paul taking a breather here. Gunnarsson tries to buck Paul off but Paul is having none of it. Gunnarsson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gunnarsson tries to get out of the position. Paul trying to control the position but Gunnarsson is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunnarsson is looking for a sweep. Gunnarsson being controlled for a moment. Gunnarsson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jamal Paul dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Paul shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gunnarsson defends it nicely. Gunnarsson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Paul shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gunnarsson counters with a head kick that drops Paul to the mat! Paul scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Paul is rocked!
It looks like Jamal Paul has been cut. Teitur Gunnarsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gunnarsson is stalking Paul. Paul circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Gunnarsson, and it's lights out! Paul really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Teitur Gunnarsson! Teitur Gunnarsson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
