Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Blanks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pig Halperin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halperin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Somewhere Over the Rainbow. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halperin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Blanks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

enabling Blanks to counter with a crisp jab.
Halperin stalks Blanks and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Blanks's face. Blanks staggers backwards, shaken.
Blanks is rocked!
Blanks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Halperin's waist but Halperin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blanks off to one side.
Oh Blanks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Halperin is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Blanks flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Blanks is out cold! Halperin holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pig Halperin!
