Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Pendragon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Steel! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pendragon tries for a takedown but Steel circles away easily and Steel counters with a left to the body. Pendragon scores with a takedown into Steel's guard. Pendragon advances to half guard. Pendragon is looking to take a break and control but Steel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Steel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pendragon stalling. Pendragon works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pendragon fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Steel is not content to let Pendragon control the position. Pendragon tries to advance to mount but Steel instead regains half guard. Steel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Pendragon looking to pass the guard. Steel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pendragon defends well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pendragon trying to control but Steel is working from the bottom. Steel pulls Pendragon in close to his closed guard and prevents Pendragon from doing any damage or advancing position. Pendragon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Steel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pendragon advances position into side control! Pendragon tries to advance position but instead Steel slips a leg back in to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pendragon wants to free his trapped foot but Steel is holding on for dear life with his legs. Steel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pendragon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pendragon's back! Steel is trying to stick to Pendragon's back but Pendragon is turning into Steel. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Steel's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Pendragon. Steel keeping moving, preventing Pendragon from controlling successfully. Pendragon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steel is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel can't keep his opponent in guard - Pendragon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Pendragon is looking for a kimura here.
Steel manages to escape and get back to his feet! Pendragon avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pendragon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pendragon somewhat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Pendragon dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pendragon lunges at Steel with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Steel's hand. Mike Pendragon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Steel clinches with his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pendragon tries to score a body lock takedown but Steel shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Pendragon can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Pendragon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pendragon blocks it with crossed arms. Steel tries to land a knee to the head but Pendragon blocks with his arms.
Steel breaks the clinch.
Pendragon throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily. Pendragon shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pendragon is looking to clinch but Steel is avoiding it.

It looks like Mike Pendragon has been cut. A momentary lapse in concentration from Steel enables Pendragon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Steel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Steel controls Pendragon momentarily but Pendragon frees himself. Pendragon preventing the sweep. Pendragon stands up over Steel, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Pendragon scoring with some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Steel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pendragon! Pendragon can't escape the position.
Pendragon sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Pendragon actively working from the bottom here. Steel is trying to control the action in half guard but Pendragon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steel uses his free foot to push down on Pendragon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pendragon. Steel mounts Pendragon! Really nice guard pass there! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jim Steel will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Mike Pendragon's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pendragon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but Pendragon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel thuds his shin into the meat of Pendragon's side. Pendragon shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pendragon tries to keep at a distance but Steel has taken the fight into the clinch. Pendragon on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pendragon has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Steel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Pendragon doesn't have the hooks in and Steel manages to turn into his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Steel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Steel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
