Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Yoshimitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khoa Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le has chosen Search and Destroy as his entrance music. Ryo Yoshimitsu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryo Yoshimitsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khoa Le! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Le as Yoshimitsu shoots in. Le looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Yoshimitsu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Le quickly recovers to half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Yoshimitsu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Yoshimitsu scoring with strikes to the body and head. Yoshimitsu is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Le is defending against the submission attempts here by Yoshimitsu.

Le is looking for a sweep. Yoshimitsu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Le on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Yoshimitsu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yoshimitsu wants to free his trapped foot but Le is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoshimitsu scoring with strikes to the body and head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yoshimitsu is working for a submission of some sort.
Le is looking to get back to is feet but Yoshimitsu passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yoshimitsu is chipping away with strikes.
Yoshimitsu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Le keeps working. Yoshimitsu cracks Le with a big elbow. Yoshimitsu in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Yoshimitsu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Le on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Yoshimitsu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Le, who protects the arm well. Le can't do much from the bottom here. Le tries to buck Yoshimitsu off but Yoshimitsu is having none of it. Yoshimitsu trying to control the action but Le is working from the bottom. Yoshimitsu takes a little break here. Le wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yoshimitsu landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Le takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Le tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yoshimitsu is staying tight to Le's torso, preventing him from escaping. Le tries to get back to half guard but can't. Yoshimitsu controlling the position. Yoshimitsu scoring with punches from side control. Le taking punishment in the form of punches.
Le is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Yoshimitsu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Yoshimitsu lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Le down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yoshimitsu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Le knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Le struggling a bit here. Yoshimitsu trying to control the position but Le is working away. Le is trying to improve his position. Yoshimitsu lands a nice forearm strike. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yoshimitsu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yoshimitsu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Le is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryo Yoshimitsu dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Yoshimitsu closes the distance and clinches up with Le, looking for a takedown. Yoshimitsu pushes Le against the cage but Le circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Yoshimitsu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Le counters with a single leg into guard. Yoshimitsu didn't expect that. Yoshimitsu uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Yoshimitsu closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Le's guard. Yoshimitsu with a nice head shot there. Yoshimitsu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Le keeping moving, preventing Yoshimitsu from controlling successfully. Yoshimitsu lands a couple of decent looking shots. Yoshimitsu postures up and lands a big shot to Le's brow. Yoshimitsu controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoshimitsu trying to control but Le is working from the bottom. Le is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Yoshimitsu scoring with some ground and pound. Yoshimitsu preventing the sweep. Yoshimitsu with a nice head shot there. Le being controlled here, momentarily. Yoshimitsu wants to pass the guard but Le is keeping the position. Le is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Yoshimitsu cracks Le with a solid left hand.

Le can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yoshimitsu controls the pace. Le looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Yoshimitsu distracts Le with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Yoshimitsu postures up and lands a big shot to Le's brow. Yoshimitsu pushes down on Le's leg and manages to get into half guard. Yoshimitsu lands with a punch from half guard. Yoshimitsu is looking to take a break and control but Le is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This has been an exciting period of action! Yoshimitsu working over Le with some ground and pound. Le looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Le pushes Yoshimitsu off looking to stand but Yoshimitsu dives back in and keeps control.
Le is pressing down on Yoshimitsu's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Yoshimitsu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le is looking to stand up but Yoshimitsu isn't so interested in that idea. Yoshimitsu controls from within his opponent's guard. Yoshimitsu stands up over Le, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Yoshimitsu wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving. Yoshimitsu landing with the ground and pound. Le trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Le tries to bench press Yoshimitsu off him but Yoshimitsu keeps the position. Le wants to control but Yoshimitsu postures up. Le takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Yoshimitsu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Le has escaped the position, nice work there. Yoshimitsu is working Le over with some ground and pound from side control. Le is looking to reverse the position. Yoshimitsu scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Le to see if he's OK. Le is trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yoshimitsu has hold of Le's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Le tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yoshimitsu cranks the arm and Le screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Le, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
