Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justus Sheehan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Cube (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheehan comes to the cage accompanied by Devil. Cube comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bow Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Justus Sheehan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ice Cube!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheehan misses with a few strikes there.
Sheehan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sheehan wants it to stay on the feet.
Sheehan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cube misses the shot to the body.

Cube instigates a clinch.
Cube has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sheehan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Cube goes for a takedown attempt but Sheehan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Justus Sheehan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ice Cube.
Cube loads up on a big right hand but Sheehan slips the punch.
Cube shoots in but no luck this time.
Cube changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sheehan tries to avoid it but Cube manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sheehan to the ground. Sheehan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sheehan throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cube tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sheehan is in Cube's guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sheehan wants to control from the top but Cube keeps moving.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cube.
Cube moves to clinch but Sheehan breaks away
and Sheehan counters with a left to the body.

Cube changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sheehan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sheehan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cube off and has taken his back!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sheehan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Cube scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Sheehan manages to mount him!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sheehan has control of Cube's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cube regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Justus Sheehan will probably get the nod.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cube wants to control but Sheehan is keeping him busy.
Justus Sheehan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sheehan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sheehan.
Cube won't allow Sheehan to sweep him here.

Sheehan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cube is just riding it out for now. Sheehan eventually gives up the hold.

Cube slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Cube shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sheehan but Sheehan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cube has got his arm under Sheehan's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Sheehan has spun round into Cube's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Sheehan is keen to just control but Cube is a slippery customer.
Sheehan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cube is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sheehan connects with a nice short shot to Cube's temple.

Sheehan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cube is looking to improve his position but Sheehan isn't that keen on the idea.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Justus Sheehan.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sheehan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Justus Sheehan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
