Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Remy Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vicks Wedge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonjasky's entrance music is LP - Hit the floor. A fine choice. Wedge has chosen Song for the Suspect as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wedge keeps the fight on the outside.

Bonjasky has closed the distance and engaged Wedge in a clinch.
Bonjasky pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Wedge can't find room to land a body shot as Bonjasky controls the action.
Wedge is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Wedge lands with a right to the head.

Bonjasky breaks the clinch.
Bonjasky doesn't manage to clinch there - Wedge circles away.
Good standup being displayed there by Wedge as he connects with a hook.

Wedge misses with an uppercut. Bonjasky saw that one coming.

Bonjasky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wedge was covering up waiting for the punch and Bonjasky finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bonjasky wanted to stand there but Wedge had control of the position.

Bonjasky gets to his feet - Wedge follows without any prompting.

Bonjasky leaves Wedge with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bonjasky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wedge swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bonjasky gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wedge wants to pass the guard but Bonjasky is keeping the position.

Bonjasky scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Bonjasky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wedge won't be happy with that.

Wedge wants to control but Bonjasky postures up.
Wedge is looking for a sweep.
Wedge can't do much from the bottom here.
Bonjasky wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wedge keeps working.
Wedge is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bonjasky connects with a decent elbow.

Bonjasky throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Wedge is trying to control Bonjasky's posture but Bonjasky avoids it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bonjasky rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wedge moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bonjasky scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Vicks Wedge has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wedge tries to keep at a distance but Bonjasky has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bonjasky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Wedge shoots in looking for a takedown but Bonjasky manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wedge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bonjasky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Wedge manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Wedge throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Wedge tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bonjasky sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wedge somewhat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wedge shoots for a double leg takedown but Bonjasky sprawls well. He's pushed Wedge's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Remy Bonjasky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vicks Wedge.

Oooooh!!! Bonjasky has knocked Wedge down with a huge combo! Bonjasky steps away and waves a wobbly Wedge back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Bonjasky grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Wedge takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Bonjasky cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

After the fight, Remy Bonjasky was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
