Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Franco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Franco!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco closes the distance looking to clinch
and Green connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Green changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Franco looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Franco seems a little lost for a moment, as Green dominates the positioning.
Green tries to advance to mount but Franco denies him.
Franco can't do much from the bottom here.
Franco is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Green off and has taken his back!

Green showing good submission defense here.
Franco throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Franco has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Green has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Franco looking to break Green's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Green remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Franco will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
You can see the frustration on Green's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Green turns into Franco and is now in his guard.

Green stands and throws Franco's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Franco gets back to half guard.
Green is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Franco!
Franco tries to hold on but Green pushes him away.
Green tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Green seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Franco for as long as he can get away with.

Franco tries to reverse the position but Green maintains control.

Green jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Franco is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Franco and Green has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Franco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green's waist but Green gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Franco off to one side.
Franco is trying hard to land a takedown here. Green sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Green throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Franco tries to clinch but Green is having none of it.

Green throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Franco was covering up waiting for the punch and Green finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Green is looking to work some ground and pound but Franco has wrist control.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Green controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Tommy Green wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Franco tries for a takedown but Green sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tommy Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Franco.

Green is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Franco's half guard.

Green will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Green is looking to take a break and control but Franco is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Green looks to land a combination but Franco avoids it well.
Green will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tommy Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Green takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
