Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Ronald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Underhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Underhill has chosen Chimaira - Warpath as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Ronald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Underhill! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ronald closes the distance but Underhill moves to the side and Underhill counters with a stiff right hand. Ronald is looking to clinch but Underhill is avoiding it.

No luck for Underhill with that takedown attempt. Ronald is looking to chop away at Underhill's legs. Underhill shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ronald manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Underhill postures up in Ronald's guard and throws a big left but Ronald blocks it. Underhill trying to control but Ronald is working from the bottom. Underhill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ronald swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Underhill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ronald trying to control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ronald gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Underhill to score an easy takedown into full guard. Underhill trying to control but Ronald is working from the bottom. Ronald looking for a sweep. Not yet Ronald, not yet. Underhill looking to sit in guard and control but Ronald gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Underhill keeping moving, preventing Ronald from controlling successfully. Underhill working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ronald.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Underhill has Ronald pulled in close to control his posture. Underhill wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Underhill is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ronald sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ronald tries to clinch but Underhill is having none of it.

Ronald is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Underhill shoots for a takedown but Ronald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brad Ronald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Underhill. Ronald misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Underhill.
Underhill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ronald tries to avoid it but Underhill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ronald to the ground. Ronald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ronald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Underhill paws at him with a jab and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mike Underhill dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ronald moves to clinch but Underhill breaks away and Underhill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ronald walks into a left hand. Underhill slips a jab and a cross from Ronald.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ronald manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Brad Ronald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Underhill. Ronald thuds his shin into the meat of Underhill's side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Underhill circles away from the clinch attempt and Underhill counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ronald won't be happy with that. Underhill lands a few punches from side control. Underhill postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ronald regains half guard. Underhill wants to pass the guard but Ronald is defending well. Underhill not landing any meaningful shots this time. Underhill scoring with strikes to the body and head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ronald is trying to maintain the position but Underhill is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Underhill thows a huge punch but Ronald dodges it nicely.

Underhill not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Underhill content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Underhill drops an elbow to the side of Ronald's head. Underhill thows a huge punch but Ronald dodges it nicely.
Underhill lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ronald is looking to control Underhill's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ronald avoid being mounted? Underhill wants to take a breather but Ronald is having none of it. Mike Underhill has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Underhill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ronald's head. Underhill slows the pace down in half guard. Ronald is not content to let Underhill control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Underhill was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ronald tries to clinch up and Underhill counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Brad Ronald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ronald moves in looking to clinch but Underhill pushes him off. Ronald displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Underhill.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Underhill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ronald gets a clinch. Ronald breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ronald scores with a push kick. Ronald takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Underhill scores with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Underhill shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Underhill was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ronald wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Underhill.

Mike Underhill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Underhill misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ronald uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Underhill.
Underhill shoots in for a takedown but Ronald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ronald tries to close the distance and clinch but Underhill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ronald doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ronald pivots, looking for a leg kick but Underhill is out of range and Ronald settles back down. Underhill closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ronald quickly recovers to half guard. Underhill throwing shots but Ronald is blocking nicely. Ronald is trying to stand up here but Underhill is controlling him well. Underhill working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ronald on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Underhill seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ronald has hold of Underhill's hands but Underhill slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Underhill is pressing down on Ronald's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ronald is holding on for now. Underhill throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Underhill uses his free foot to push down on Ronald's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ronald. The referee warns Ronald that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
A nice elbow there by Underhill. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Underhill working the ground and pound effectively.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Underhill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Underhill lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Underhill controlling his opponent. Let's hope that Underhill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Underhill's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Underhill with good strikes from the mount here! Underhill breaks from Ronald's wrist control and lands an elbow. Underhill postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Ronald is out cold - huge knockout for Underhill!
