Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rockem Sockem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khoa Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Search and Destroy. Khoa Le has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rockem Sockem! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khoa Le! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sockem looks to land a combination. Le sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Rockem Sockem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sockem dives in and grabs Le's left leg, looking for a takedown. Le pushes down on Sockem's head and hops out. Sockem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Le keeps the fight on the outside. Sockem shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Le pinned against the cage. Le gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sockem enables Le to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sockem manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Le is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sockem is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sockem has escaped and now he's on top! Sockem loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Le scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Le fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sockem avoids it really well and circles away. Sockem lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sockem fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rockem Sockem. That's going to take a lot out of him. Le avoids the head kick by Sockem.
Le checks a low kick from Sockem. Sockem tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sockem is looking to clinch but Le is avoiding it.

Le throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sockem's waist but Sockem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Le off to one side. Le looks for a takedown but Sockem sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good leg kick by Sockem there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sockem throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Le's head. Le has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sockem. Sockem misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sockem tries for a takedown but Le sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sockem lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Nice takedown defense from Sockem. No joy for Le on that attempt. Le tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sockem swivels and escapes. Sockem shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Le controls Sockem momentarily but Sockem frees himself. Sockem scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sockem gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sockem looking for a takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Le keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Le shoots in for a takedown but Sockem shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sockem throws a right and a left that Le avoids nicely. Rockem Sockem is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sockem has Le up against the cage in a clinch.

Le lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sockem! Le looking to secure an arm triangle but Sockem defends it well. Le landing punches.

Khoa Le has got the better of the ground game so far. Le is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Le throwing strikes here but Sockem is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Le jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sockem is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sockem and Le has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Le with the ground and pound but Sockem regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Le trying to mount his opponent but Sockem defends it. Le not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Le prevents Sockem from improving his position. Le is working for a kimura but Sockem is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Le trying to control the action but Sockem is working from the bottom. Le moves nicely into side control. Le tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Le has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Khoa Le showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Le shoots for a double leg takedown but Sockem sprawls well. He's pushed Le's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Le takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Le misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sockem fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sockem lands with a kick to the temple. Le shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Le takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A head kick from Sockem lands but Le takes it in his stride. Sockem stuffs the takedown. Sockem avoids the head kick by Le.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sockem throws a right hand that Le ducks under and follows up with a left that Le also avoids with ease. Sockem misses with a few strikes there.
Le shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sockem as he jumps to the side. Sockem lands a two punch combo.
Sockem has managed to clinch.
Le wants a takedown.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Le tries to score a body lock takedown but Sockem shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Rockem Sockem showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sockem has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
