Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Theon Greyjoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason has chosen Final Countdown as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Theon Greyjoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Mason! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason tries to clinch but Greyjoy moves out of range. Mason shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Greyjoy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Greyjoy keeping moving, preventing Mason from controlling successfully. Greyjoy looking for a sweep. Not yet Greyjoy, not yet. Greyjoy is working hard here to advance position. Mason has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Greyjoy is proving hard to escape from. Greyjoy keeping moving, preventing Mason from controlling successfully. Mason might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Greyjoy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Mason was stalling too much, according to the referee. Mason tries to clinch up but Greyjoy circles away and keeps his distance. Mason shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mason was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mason looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Mason controlling the position easily from mount. Greyjoy tries to reverse the position but Mason maintains control. Mason lands a nice shot to the head. Mason wants to control the pace but Greyjoy is squirming around nicely. Mason tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Greyjoy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greyjoy slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Greyjoy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mason pulls his head out easily. Greyjoy manages to get to full guard.
Greyjoy throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mason preventing the sweep. Mason trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Greyjoy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mason trying to control the position from guard on top but Greyjoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Greyjoy working for a triangle but Mason defends it easily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michael Mason wasn't active enough on the ground. Mason shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mason was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mason can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Greyjoy is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mason misses with a head shot. Greyjoy tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mason working away from the top, dropping strikes. Greyjoy tries to improve his position but instead Mason has taken his back! Greyjoy trying to control the hands but Mason won't let him. Greyjoy tries to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Mason.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greyjoy fails with the takedown. Mason looking to score a takedown here. Greyjoy is defending well but Mason drives through and ends up in Greyjoy's guard. Greyjoy can't keep his opponent in guard - Mason advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mason thows a huge punch but Greyjoy dodges it nicely.

Mason has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mason wants to work for an arm triangle but Greyjoy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Greyjoy tries to roll over but Mason keeps him under control. Mason slows the pace down in half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mason looking to control but Greyjoy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Michael Mason has got the better of the ground game so far. Greyjoy is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mason is controlling Greyjoy's posture. Greyjoy working the strikes but Mason uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Greyjoy passes the guard and advances to mount!

Michael Mason showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Nice sprawl there from Mason as Greyjoy shoots in. Mason tries to close the distance and clinch but Greyjoy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mason looking to score a takedown here. Greyjoy is defending well but Mason drives through and ends up in Greyjoy's guard. Mason trying to control but Greyjoy is working from the bottom.

This has been an exciting period of action! Greyjoy keeping moving, preventing Mason from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mason accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mason got a little sloppy there for a moment and Greyjoy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mason has managed to get both his arms back between Greyjoy's legs - danger averted. Michael Mason is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Mason not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Mason comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mason has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Michael Mason! A determined Michael Mason didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
