Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Staale Dal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson scores with a takedown into Dal's guard.
Dal can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tyson controls the pace.
It looks like Tyson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Tyson forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mike Tyson wasn't active enough on the ground.
Dal takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tyson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tyson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dal is just riding it out for now. Tyson eventually gives up the hold.
Tyson uses his free foot to push down on Dal's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dal.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tyson stands up from mount. Strange move.
Tyson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dal walks into a straight right hand from Tyson.
Tyson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dal is breathing heavily.
Tyson cracks Dal with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tyson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dal to stand back up!
Dal is rocked!
It looks like Staale Dal has been cut.
Tyson is stalking Dal. Dal circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Tyson, and it's lights out! Dal really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Tyson!
Post fight, an emotional Mike Tyson said '"I know I was a tough, bad-ass talking fighter, but I ain't no mob figure. I did my time for the rape. I paid my money I paid my dues. I'm still a rapist but I ain't the same person I was when I bit that guy's ear off. '.
