Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hannay throws a series of punches but Gellquist avoids them all with ease.
Hannay fails with the takedown.
Hannay is breathing heavily.
Hannay looks to throw the jab but Gellquist is out of range.
Gellquist throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hannay was covering up waiting for the punch and Gellquist finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gellquist lands a couple of elbows.

Gellquist really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hannay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gellquist seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gellquist postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Oh Hannay is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gellquist loads up on a big left hand. Hannay felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Gellquist looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hannay can't hide his disappointment, as Gellquist celebrates the victory.
