Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kiyah Matsumoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sam Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kiyah Matsumoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Smith! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith misses with a looping left. Smith on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sam Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matsumoto closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smith's guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Matsumoto working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Smith's head. Matsumoto trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Matsumoto is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Matsumoto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Matsumoto trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Matsumoto won't allow Smith to get back to his feet. Matsumoto distracts Smith with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Matsumoto trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smith is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Matsumoto is controlling him. Matsumoto tries to free his leg and advance position but Smith is retaining full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Matsumoto working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Matsumoto pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matsumoto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Smith wants to get back to his feet but Matsumoto is in a dominant position and won't allow it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Matsumoto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Matsumoto working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Matsumoto passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Well, if Matsumoto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Smith looks like he's trying to stand up.
Matsumoto is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Matsumoto is controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith pushes Matsumoto off looking to stand but Matsumoto dives back in and keeps control.
Matsumoto drops an elbow to the side of Smith's head. Matsumoto scoring with strikes to the body and head. Matsumoto trying to control from half guard but Smith is working away. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith is trying to stand up here but Matsumoto is controlling him well. Smith is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Matsumoto maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Smith could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Matsumoto has cracked it and Smith is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Matsumoto!
