Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, T Dawg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Terry Cheese! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Dawg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dawg lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A swing and a miss from Dawg. Dawg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dawg throws a right and a left that both miss. Cheese misses with a series of wild punches.

and Cheese counters with a slapping leg kick. Cheese drives through with a takedown into Dawg's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cheese wants to control from the top but Dawg keeps moving. Dawg is working an open guard so Cheese takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dawg throws a series of punches but Cheese avoids them all with ease. Dawg misses with a wild combination.

and Cheese counters with a single leg into guard. Dawg didn't expect that. Dawg is breathing heavily. Cheese throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawg is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cheese is controlling him. Cheese content to stall in guard here. Cheese working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cheese is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Terry Cheese hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice sprawl there from Dawg as Cheese shoots in. Dawg throws a combination that misses and Cheese holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cheese breaks from the clinch.
Cheese fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dawg. Cheese looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

and Cheese counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Cheese throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Dawg tries to keep at a distance but Cheese has taken the fight into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cheese displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dawg up against the cage. Cheese pulls guard effortlessly. Dawg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheese is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Cheese is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cheese had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dawg defends it easily. Dawg avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cheese is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cheese is pulling down on Dawg's head to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cheese lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dawg! Cheese gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. No luck with that takedown attempt from Cheese. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Cheese dominated that round. That's time! Dawg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cheese gets a double leg takedown into Dawg's guard. Cheese pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dawg is keeping the position for now. Cheese stands up and waves to Dawg to follow him. Dawg throws a sloppy body shot
and Cheese counters with a good low kick that Dawg was not able to check. Dawg throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cheese counters with a big head kick but Dawg shrugs it off. Cheese moves into the clinch successfully.

Cheese is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dawg sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cheese scores with a one two! Dawg had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cheese scores a takedown into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cheese takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Cheese lands a big shot there that rocks Dawg but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Terry Cheese has got the better of the ground game so far. Cheese lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Cheese is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dawg to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dawg shrugs it off. Cheese looking to control but Dawg is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cheese looking for a guillotine from mount but Dawg is having none of it. Cheese content just to control the position here. Cheese can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dawg is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cheese tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cheese landing strikes from the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cheese cracks Dawg with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Dawg is trying to stand but he's just given Cheese his back. Dawg knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cheese on the ground. Dawg is having to fend off submission attempts from Cheese, who is looking to sink in the choke. Cheese doesn't have the hooks in though and Dawg manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Cheese has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cheese pushes Dawg off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Cheese showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Cheese thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Cheese throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Dawg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cheese working for a triangle but Dawg defends it easily.

Dawg leaves Cheese with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. T Dawg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Terry Cheese. Cheese misses with the combination.

And that's the end of the fight! Terry Cheese comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cheese has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
