Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Coke Poep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Rojer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Rojer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Coke Poep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ray Rojer!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rojer clinches with his opponent.
Rojer taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Poep has hold of one of Rojer's legs. Rojer is fighting the takedown attempt but Poep gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Poep is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rojer wants to stand but Poep is controlling the position.
Rojer is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Poep wants to pass the guard but Rojer is keeping the position.
Poep wants to control from the top but Rojer keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rojer tries to clinch but Poep is having none of it.

It looks like Coke Poep has been cut.
Rojer throws a right hand that Poep ducks under and follows up with a left that Poep also avoids with ease.
Rojer throws a head kick but Poep moves out of range.
Poep showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rojer.
Poep tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Poep on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rojer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Poep shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Poep is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Poep is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Rojer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Coke Poep will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Coke Poep's cut.
That's time! Poep's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Rojer works over Poep's head and body with a nice combination.
Rojer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Poep slaps away a takedown attempt from Rojer, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Coke Poep is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rojer is looking to clinch.
Poep avoids the head kick by Rojer.
Rojer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Poep manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rojer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Rojer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Poep closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rojer to the mat! Rojer manages to get full guard.

Rojer is looking to get back to full guard here but Poep has managed to pass to side control instead.
The ground and pound from Poep seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Poep cracks Rojer with a big right hand but Rojer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Rojer regains half guard there - taking advantage of Poep's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coke Poep dominated that second round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Poep shoots in and bounces Rojer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Poep is pushing down on Rojer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rojer is fighting to maintain full guard but Poep has managed to sneak the leg through.
Poep scoring with strikes to the body and head.

Poep is trying to control. Rojer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Rojer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Poep's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Poep's back!
Poep turns into Rojer and is now in his guard.
Rojer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Rojer wants to stand up but Poep is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Poep trying to control the position from guard on top but Rojer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Coke Poep wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Poep looks for a takedown but Rojer sprawls well.

Rojer has Poep pushed against the cage.
Rojer prevents a takedown attempt there.

Rojer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rojer fails to land with a series of punches.
Rojer leaves Poep with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Poep slips a jab and a cross from Rojer.
Rojer throws a right hand that Poep ducks under and follows up with a left that Poep also avoids with ease.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Coke Poep wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A punch combination from Rojer misses.

Coke Poep showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Poep, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
