Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brain Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Laidler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Kyle Laidler enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brain Damage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Laidler! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laidler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Damage has time to react. Laidler wants to clinch up but Damage keeps it at a distance. Laidler tries to clinch but Damage is having none of it. Laidler walks into a left hand. Damage keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Laidler. Laidler slaps away a takedown attempt from Damage, before circling back to the center of the mat. Laidler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Laidler is looking to clinch but Damage is avoiding it.
Damage tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Laidler swivels and escapes. Laidler tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Damage counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Laidler's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damage wants to control from the top but Laidler keeps moving. Laidler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Damage in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Damage works over Laidler with some ground and pound from guard. Damage with a flurry of punches that miss. Laidler keeping moving, preventing Damage from controlling successfully. Damage missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Damage has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Damage controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Damage seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Laidler for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laidler keeping moving, preventing Damage from controlling successfully.
Brain Damage has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Laidler throws a right and a left that both miss. Laidler tries to clinch up. Laidler tries to bum rush Damage with a series of wild strikes but Damage uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Laidler looks to clinch and Damage counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Laidler! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Damage is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Laidler can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Damage cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
It looks like Kyle Laidler has been cut. Laidler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Damage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Damage looking to finish Laidler with some ground and pound. This is bad for Laidler! Laidler is bucking up trying to escape but Damage cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Laidler is rocked! Damage postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Laidler badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Damage around the waist but Damage pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Damage is the winner by TKO! Damage jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brain Damage!
