Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eli Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Binky Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Barnes's choice of entrance music: Burn This City. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eli Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Binky Barnes! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hunter misses with a double jab
and Barnes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Eli Hunter has been cut. Barnes throws a combination that misses and Hunter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hunter misses with a body punch
and Barnes counters with a stiff right hand. Hunter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A leg kick checked by Barnes. Hunter throws a series of punches but Barnes avoids them all with ease. Hunter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barnes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Barnes moves out of range of the body kick. Barnes's corner calls for a 1-2. Barnes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Hunter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Barnes checks it well. Hunter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barnes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barnes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sloppy strikes from Hunter. Those never looked like landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. A combination from Barnes does no damage. Hunter misses with a combination
and Barnes counters with a series of strikes. Hunter will be more careful next time no doubt. A slapping body kick lands there for Barnes. Hunter drops his hands momentarily and Barnes takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Barnes showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hunter.
Barnes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hunter. Barnes slips a jab and a cross from Hunter.
Hunter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Barnes fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hunter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barnes was well out of range. Poor timing from Hunter. Hunter connects with a crisp jab. Barnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barnes staying out of range there. Hunter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Barnes misses. Barnes misses with a few strikes there.
Hunter looks to land a combination but Barnes avoids it well. Barnes cracks Hunter with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Hunter throws a half hearted mid kick. Hunter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Barnes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Barnes. Hunter throws a right hand that Barnes ducks under and follows up with a left that Barnes also avoids with ease. Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Barnes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Barnes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Hunter wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Barnes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Hunter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barnes on the ground. Barnes sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Barnes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barnes controlling from the full mount. Barnes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Barnes tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Hunter blocking the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barnes with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Binky Barnes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eli Hunter's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Hunter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Barnes is out of range and Hunter settles back down. Nice cross by Barnes. No luck for Barnes with that takedown attempt. Barnes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Barnes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hunter throws a combination that misses and Barnes counters with a nice uppercut. Eli Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barnes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Barnes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Binky Barnes seems to be getting the better of the standup. Barnes scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hunter tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes working for the choke. Hunter avoids the strikes from Barnes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good control from Barnes. Barnes is looking for the choke from the back position but Hunter is controlling his hands well. Barnes controlling from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes looking for the RNC. Barnes tightening his grip on Hunter, looking for the choke. Barnes struggling to land strikes to the head as Hunter covers up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter wants to get back to his feet. Barnes landing with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Binky Barnes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Eli Hunter's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Hunter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Barnes throws a leg kick that misses. Hunter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. No joy there for Hunter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hunter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Barnes to score with a decent uppercut. Hunter takes one to the chin there. Barnes punishes Hunter's body with a nice straight punch. A lazy left from Barnes finds it's target. Barnes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A leg kick checked by Barnes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barnes sizes up Hunter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hunter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Barnes is out of range and Hunter settles back down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hunter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Barnes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A telegraphed right hand from Hunter misses the target. Barnes lunges at Hunter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hunter's hand.
Hunter is rocked! Barnes drops Hunter with a big left hand! Hunter is injured, injured bad! Barnes jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Binky Barnes! Binky Barnes spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
