The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deathgrip is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Komota.
Deathgrip with a poor takedown
and Komota counters with a two punch combo.
Deathgrip with a jab.
Komota fails with a takedown attempt.
Deathgrip scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Deathgrip moves out of range as Komota throws a body kick.
Deathgrip shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Komota but Komota pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Deathgrip walks into a left hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Deathgrip misses with a leg kick
and Komota counters with a good low kick that Deathgrip was not able to check.
Oh Deathgrip is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Komota dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Deathgrip. That did some damage!
Komota digs a good hook to Deathgrip's body.
Deathgrip seems to have got his legs back now.
Deathgrip is breathing heavily.

Deathgrip tries to sprawl but Komota drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Deathgrip is in trouble now - Komota has advanced to mount!
Komota drops a big elbow. That's hurt Deathgrip! More shots from Komota and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
