The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilburne tries to clinch there but Matwijenko circles away.
A jab from Matwijenko misses.
Matwijenko misses with a straight right.
Lilburne moves out of range of the body kick from Matwijenko.
Lilburne cracks Matwijenko with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Matwijenko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Lilburne misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Matwijenko.
Matwijenko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lilburne throws a head kick that Matwijenko semi-blocks.
Matwijenko on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lilburne. Lilburne obviously looking to wear him down.
Matwijenko connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lilburne. Lilburne circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lilburne takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lilburne is rocked!
John Lilburne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lilburne throws an overhand right that lands on Matwijenko's shoulder, as Matwijenko tries to avoid the shot.
Lilburne is still on wobbly legs! Can Matwijenko finish him?
Lilburne throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lilburne seems to have recovered his senses.
Lilburne scores with a kick to the midsection.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Matwijenko! Lilburne is out on his feet! Matwijenko rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Lilburne is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Lilburne is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
