Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tochinowaka Michihiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Junior BayawaK! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michihiro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Michihiro postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Michihiro makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Michihiro trying to control the position from guard on top but BayawaK is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Michihiro controls from within his opponent's guard. Michihiro in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Michihiro throws a big elbow that misses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if BayawaK can do anything to dispel that myth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Michihiro with a nice head shot there. BayawaK is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michihiro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Michihiro content to stall in guard here. BayawaK utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. BayawaK is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. BayawaK looking to control.

This has been an exciting period of action! Michihiro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Michihiro throws a big right hand that misses. BayawaK looking to sweep here. No luck so far. BayawaK can't keep his opponent in guard - Michihiro advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Michihiro throwing shots but BayawaK is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Michihiro takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. BayawaK really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Michihiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Michihiro slips a nice elbow through BayawaK's hands, connecting with BayawaK's forehead. BayawaK is looking for a sweep. Michihiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Michihiro controlling the action here. Michihiro works his way into full mount! BayawaK takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
It looks like Junior BayawaK has been cut. BayawaK looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Michihiro softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and BayawaK is out cold! Michihiro jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tochinowaka Michihiro! After winning the bout, Tochinowaka Michihiro thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
