Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Farha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Farha comes into the arena with Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH blaring out of the sound system. Jason Young has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farha closes the distance and clinches up with Young, looking for a takedown. Farha pushes Young against the cage but Young circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Farha moves out of range of the strikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Young.

Young looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Farha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Young is pressing down on Farha's thigh, looking to free his foot. Farha is holding on for now.

Young uses his free foot to push down on Farha's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Farha.

Farha is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Young's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Young's back!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Young parries the strikes from Farha easily there. Farha is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Young to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Young stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Farha swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A close round but Jason Young will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Farha, as that shot connected.
Sammy Farha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Farha displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Young.
Farha throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Young needs to keep his hands up - Farha had a free shot at his head there.
Young changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Farha tries to avoid it but Young manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Farha to the ground. Farha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Farha is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Farha manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Farha throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Young is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Farha stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Young accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Farha pivots, looking for a leg kick but Young is out of range and Farha settles back down.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sammy Farha.
Well Farha has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Sammy Farha started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
