Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between StrangleHold Vasquel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Bogey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, StrangleHold Vasquel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joseph Bogey! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasquel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vasquel lands in his opponent's guard. Vasquel keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bogey's head. Vasquel trying to control but Bogey is working from the bottom. Bogey wants to get back to his feet but Vasquel is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bogey trying to keep a closed guard but Vasquel is proving a slippery customer.
Vasquel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Vasquel has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bogey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vasquel tries to clinch but Bogey moves out of range. Bogey fails to land with a series of punches.

Nice takedown defense from Bogey. No joy for Vasquel on that attempt. Vasquel throws a head kick but Bogey moves out of range.
Joseph Bogey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bogey misses with a kick to the body.
Bogey swats away the attempt to clinch by Vasquel. Vasquel has Bogey up against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Bogey fails to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Vasquel drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bogey gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bogey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bogey tries to land a leg kick but Vasquel saw it coming and moves away.
Bogey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vasquel. Bogey gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bogey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Vasquel is controlling him. Vasquel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vasquel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Vasquel won't allow Bogey to sweep him here. Vasquel looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bogey wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Vasquel manages to pass to side control. Still in half guard, Vasquel seems content to control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Bogey is trying to stand back up but Vasquel is controlling him

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bogey looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bogey looks gassed! Vasquel seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bogey keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Vasquel stops Bogey from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vasquel works his foot free and advances to mount. Vasquel content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
StrangleHold Vasquel dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bogey throws the left hand but Vasquel avoids the punch easily. Vasquel feints and as Bogey raises his hands in defense, Vasquel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bogey looking for a sweep. Not yet Bogey, not yet. Vasquel passes Bogey's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bogey is looking for a sweep. Vasquel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Vasquel stalling. Bogey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bogey is breathing heavily. Vasquel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bogey!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasquel throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Vasquel takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Vasquel scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bogey?

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bogey reaches up to try and control the position but Vasquel seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bogey rolls and tries to escape and now Vasquel has his back!
Bogey tries to break free.
Bogey is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Bogey tries to escape but Vasquel has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Vasquel scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Vasquel controlling the positon. Vasquel thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bogey looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Vasquel keeps control of the position easily here as Bogey tries to buck him off.
Vasquel has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bogey has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Vasquel has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bogey's body.
Bogey can't escape the position.
StrangleHold Vasquel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bogey is looking to escape but he's done so without protecting himself and Vasquel manages to counter with a nice rear naked choke! Bogey is in trouble and he's forced to tap!
