Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Manolo Pierdolo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Funny McGee! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. McGee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pierdolo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Pierdolo throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Pierdolo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sloppy strikes there by Pierdolo. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGee is letting Pierdolo control him for a moment. Pierdolo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pierdolo lands a decent elbow from side control. McGee can't do much from the bottom here. McGee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pierdolo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pierdolo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McGee sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pierdolo grinds an elbow into McGee's temple. McGee thuds his shin into the meat of Pierdolo's side. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Danga de danga de dang - McGee scores with a four punch combination! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Manolo Pierdolo will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Manolo Pierdolo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
